Linlithgow Scout Post 2009

January 2010: Letter to the Linlithgow Gazette

On behalf of Linlithgow Scouts I would like to take this opportunity to pass on our most sincere and warmest thanks for the support we received from everyone with the Scout Christmas Post.

We must thank the shops who kindly offered to be our Collection Points, the Scouts and their parents for hitting their delivery schedule and last and by no means least, to the townsfolk of Linlithgow for embracing the Scout Post with both arms.

Thanks to everyone's efforts we delivered over 2,400 Christmas cards (including one to America which was duly forwarded on) helping to raise £470 for our funds.

As mentioned at the time our plan was to donate £100 of the money raised to a charity, and true to our word this is the case with the money going to the Haiti Disaster Appeal.

Once again could I thank everyone involved with the Linlithgow Scout Post for helping make this the huge success it was.

We look forward to serving our community again for many years to come.

Yours in Scouting

Paul Charlton
